MY FIRST BLOG (Together: Around the Throne)

Writer: Troy Green Troy Green

So this is my first blog. A blog is basically an electronic log or like having a journal that everyone can read. Seems it would give some insight into who I am and what I am thinking. With that said here is what I have to say.

I fed a horse this morning while it was still dark. I do not remember ever feeding a horse. He seemed grateful. What is more important is that I got to help a friend. You never know when God is going to call you out of your regular schedule to go do something out of the ordinary. We need always be ready when He calls! I also had another first today. My grandson turned 14, wow it seems like just yesterday he was being born. Time sure gets away from us.

Sunday I preached on the topic of being together around the throne of God. One day we will meet Him face to face and He will reward us for how we lived our lives. We are going to be judged for what we did with what He has given to us. The important thing to note is that if God wants us to do something, He will equip us. Now do not mistake equipping for having all of the resources at hand.

In the story of Jesus feeding the five thousand we see this dynamic at work. When Jesus told the disciples to distribute the food there was no sign that they would have enough to feed all the people. The miracle happened as they stepped out in faith and obeyed. They also started out with a problem. The problem led to a supernatural solution that would have just been a problem if they had not went to Jesus and then obeyed Him. What He asked them to do made no sense in the natural but God had a supernatural answer to the problem that lead to a miracle.

What I am trying to say is be sensitive to the moving of the Holy Spirit. Ask Him what you should do when something comes along that moves you from your normal routine. You never know where your next miracle is going to be but it is probably going to come as the solution to a problem. This concludes my first blog on the first day I fed a horse.
